Traditionally we use January as a good time to reflect, as you may know, reflection is something really important to us at Mosaic Foster Care as we feel that it is important to be able to look back in order to look forward.
2020 certainly was a difficult year for so many people in so many ways. We know that most of us can't wait to see the back end of 2020.
It was especially hard for those in lockdown who were suffering domestic abuse or violence and whose home life was quite simply an ordeal, aside from COVID-19.
Amongst those affected were many young people who needed a caring foster home where they could learn how to achieve their full potential and live the life they deserve.
We are thankful that going into the New Year 2021, 12 households were approved by our fostering panel to look after such special people, and currently have another 10 in the application process. This is really big news for us as we know that the need for foster parents is bigger than ever.
