Mosaic Foster Care named UK Small Business of the Year

UK Business Awards 2026

We’re incredibly proud to share that Mosaic Foster Care has been named UK Small Business of the Year at The UK Business Awards.

It’s fantastic to get some national recognition of the difference we’re making in foster care through our therapeutic approach that puts children and foster parents first.

This award celebrates organisations that demonstrate excellence, resilience and impact across their sector.

Foster care is complex, emotionally demanding work and success isn’t measured by scale or speed. It’s measured by stability, trust and long-term outcomes for children who’ve already experienced too much disruption. That’s why this recognition feels especially meaningful.

Why this award matters in foster care

Across the UK, foster care is under increasing pressure. Carer shortages, burnout and placement breakdowns are common and too many families feel under-supported.

In this context, being recognised as Small Business of the Year doesn’t just tell us we’re running a strong organization. It proves there’s a better way to deliver foster care.

At Mosaic, we believe children thrive when the people caring for them are properly supported. That means treating foster parents like the skilled professionals they are, investing in training throughout their journey and embedding therapeutic thinking into everyday practices rather than relying on intervention only when crisis hits.

Making a different kind of impact

At Mosaic, success is measured by outcomes, not quick wins. We take a long term view, prioritising careful matching, stable placements, and quick therapeutic support, so children can experience the safety and consistency they need to heal and thrive.

A word from our founder

“Winning the UK Small Business Award is a real moment of pride,” says founder Andre Palmer. “But the real achievement is seeing children settle, heal and begin to imagine a future that feels possible. This award belongs to our team, our foster parents and the children who trust us every day.”

As Mosaic continues to grow, our mission remains the same: to change life chances by delivering stable, therapeutic foster care and to show that small businesses can drive meaningful, system-changing impact.
