For foster children, frequent moves between homes can disrupt their emotional and social development. Just as they begin settling in with foster parents, making friends, and finding stability, another move can create feelings of insecurity and rejection, setting back their development and making it more difficult to form trusting relationships.

Why long-term foster care matters
Long-term fostering, sometimes called permanent foster care, is when foster parents care for a child until they turn 18. It’s an ideal solution when a child cannot return to their birth family, and adoption is ruled out.
Unlike adoption, legal responsibility for the child stays with the local authority and the birth parents, who only have parental responsibility withdrawn when their child is adopted.

Our diligent matching process ensures children are placed with families where they will not only fit but flourish. We don’t rush this process - all our foster children have in-person introductions before being placed to ensure the match to your family is right for them and you.
We can get the help you need, often within hours
Quick, tailored intervention is key to fostering success. We operate within our unique therapeutic framework, with our own in-house therapeutic team who step in without delay when an issue arises, to ensure challenges are addressed.
